Ubuntu is not just for geeks. It is for humans, and that includes women too. If you're not offended by gender issues and the occasional sexist joke, then take a look at the way people are learning to express themselves in the Ubuntu Community. I think these images are positive, life-affirming and not in the least way degrading.

anyway. i use ubuntu along with my fiancee and my friends which all teach at colleges with programming and their fiancee's all get laid all day and all night if we wanna. not together though.

Ubuntu is for total noobs and intellectually lazy people who define themselves by what they own or use, very much like Mac users. Ironically these people know much less about operating systems than a great number of windows users.
People with serious computer skills use mostly Gentoo, Slackware or Arch Linux or even BSD for their daily business. Certainly not Ubuntu.
Besides, similarly to mactards, lintards are obviously retards using Ubuntu.

I got bad news for you, smart and cool people don't use Ubuntu. Only "poseurs" trying to impress idiots and being "en vogue" use Ubuntu, since it requires the least amount of genuine effort of any Linux distribution.

I have something to say about your comment, Ubuntu is a great upcoming Operating System, friendly to all users, new or advanced (even better for advanced users), but mainly Ubuntu is aimed at been easy, which my brainy idiot friend, not all people are and Ubuntu is there to help them become literate with there computers by experimenting and playing around with there system. I believe one can learn soooo much more from Ubuntu than a Windows user. I use Ubuntu to provide free Operating Systems to clients who do not have money to buy Windows and they end up happier anyway, LOL, so Ubuntu has made a big impact our little community down in Margate and still continues to do so as I promote it along with all my friends and family.
ReplyDeleteJust to mention, I use other distributions as well, mainly, Mandrake, Fedora, Suse and so on, but Ubuntu is really great to give the community something that is worth there time.
